Order of the Arrow
Northern Tier Program
Here is some information about the Northern Tier
Program that I hope some of you will take advantage of. It is a great
price for two weeks of fun in the BWCA.
Ted McLaughlin
Chapter Advisor
Brothers,
I wanted to let all of you know that there are still spots available for the OA
Voyage program at Northern Tier. The cost of the program is $125 for a 2-week
trip.
Arrow men from the across the country assemble to participate in this program
where it is the combination of Brotherhood, Cheerfulness and Service. The first
week of the program is spent getting to know members of your crew while
participating in Cheerful service in the Boundary Waters. Your experienced
Foreman will teach you how to use
the tools and how to successfully build trail.
Your second week of the program is a trip planned by you, the participants. Some
of the past trips involved going to Lake Superior, which normal crews never do
since their trips are shorter or going to the height of land. The choice is
yours and yours alone.
If you are between the ages of 16 and 21, you have the opportunity to
participate in this once in a lifetime event. Over 500 people have gone through
in the program's young history. Etch your name in the record books and do a trip
that's never been completed. Come experience the challenge at Northern Tier.
For copies of the application and other information about the Voyage or the
other OA High Adventure programs at Philmont and Sea Base, visit

See you on the water!
In Brotherhood,
